tired, tired, tired

Well. The first mixes of the demo are more or less complete. Granted, I was not able to do the job like Ben did the job. 800 Mhz is not really the same thing as a dual 1 billion ghz processor G5 Mac, but I think I may have done a reasonable job. Alas, the car test will tell the truth. The next step is to get Hayes' bass parts (once written) recorded. But, for now, this version of the demo will more than suffice.

The process has been extremely enjoyable. I think were all quite pleased thus far.

Yay for us. We're actually getting stuff done. Its like everyone has a new dose of inspiration. I know that I do. It comes when you least expect it sometimes...but, I'm damn thankful all the same.

Well, I've come to track 7 on Grace and will now kick back.

Cheers.

3.26.05

Well, I just cracked a beer signalling the finish of a great day. We polished off our parts for Blindfold and Guilt. Ann did her "thing" of being totally incredible writing some killer harmonies on the fly and Brian played the telecaster like it was, well a telecaster. They left and I managed to actually finish my vocals. So, we're nearing completion on this phase of the vocal. Its just a matter of mixing and master so we can get it out the door for a couple of things this week. Then, Hayes shall soon record his bass parts.

Its been an interesting week of obnoxious drunks, open mics, and practices. To say the least, this new future we're paving looks nice and bright.

In the end, as far as the post is concerned, this band must have wanted #1 again pretty bad. Nothing major in the grand schemes of things. Time to get in the shower.

of the band

I decided, rather than just have my blog up here as a representation of the band, to start up a blog 100% band related, so here it is.
